PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of accurately detecting temperature of air to be blown to a record medium.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises: an air blow box 86 disposed oppositely to a transportation path 72 on which a record medium P to which ink droplet is discharged is transported, and having plural air outlets 86A, 86B on the transportation path 72 side; air blow means 94 for blowing air to the air blow box 86, and spraying the air to the record medium P through the plural air outlets 86A, 86B; heating means 88, 90 stored in the air blow box 86 and heating the air blown from the air outlets 86A, 86B; temperature detection means 92 disposed on outside of the air blow box 86 and between the plural air outlets 86A, 86B, and detecting temperature of the air between the air blow box 86 and the transportation path 72; and control means 104 for controlling heating temperature of the heating means 88, 90 based on the air temperature detected by the temperature detection means 92. |
