PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide alloy for accessories which uses no platinum, and has solidity, shine on the surface, and fewer casting defects.SOLUTION: A ring-shaped casting 12 shown in Figure (a) is a non-defective product. On the other hand, a ring-shaped casting 12 shown in Figure (b) is a defective product because it has cracks 14, 14. The non-defective product shown in Figure (a) is obtained from the alloy casting whose composition is made up of 95 mass% palladium, 3 mass% niobium, and 2 mass% gallium. The ring-shaped casting 12 obtained from the alloy with the composition does not include platinum but has solidity, and abundant shine, and therefore is suitable for a ring. Because the composition of the alloy is made up of 95 mass% palladium, 3 mass% niobium, and 2 mass% gallium, there is provided alloy for accessories which uses no platinum, and has solidity, shine on the surface, and fewer casting defects. |
