PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for a solar cell encapsulating material including ethylene-α-olefin and favorable in terms of crosslinkability, heat resistance, transparency, and impact resistance; a solar cell encapsulating material using the same; and a solar cell module.SOLUTION: The provided resin composition for encapsulating a solar cell includes an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer (A) having the following attributes of (a1) through (a3) and an organic peroxide (B): (a1) the number (N) of branches ascribed to comonomers within the ethylene-α-olefin copolymer and the combined number (V) of vinyl and vinylidene satisfy the relation of the formula (1): N×V≥10 (where N and V are numbers with respect to a total of 1000 carbon atoms of principal and side chains measured via NMR); (a2) the MFR (190°C, load=21.18 N) is 0.1-100 g/10 min; and (a3) the density is 0.860-0.920 g/cm.
