PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To much more reduce unpleasantness of a user due to leakage of light from between a second contact glass 155 and ADF during length specification processing.SOLUTION: In length specification processing, only one of a plurality of LED elements 152a' confronted with one end in a main scanning direction is lighted on documents in an A5 size horizontal posture, a B5 size horizontal posture, and an A4 size horizontal posture placed on second contact glass 155 among all LED elements 152a' in an LED array 152a. Thus, unpleasantness of a user can be reduced much more by avoiding wasteful lighting of the LED element 152a' which is not required for size determination. |
