PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device in which the strength of a blocking member is improved.SOLUTION: The fixing device includes a fixing member heated by heating means, an opposing member coming into contact with the fixing member, to form a nip part between the opposing member and the fixing member, a blocking member 27 blocking heating by the heating means, and driving means for driving the blocking member 27 between a blocking position where the blocking member 27 blocks the heating and a retreat position where the blocking member 27 is retreated from the blocking position. In the fixing device, the blocking member 27 includes a reinforcement part 53 for reinforcement in the longitudinal direction of the blocking member 27. |
