PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method and a pressure masking system for controlling a coating microstructure.SOLUTION: A coating method for coating a target surface of an object having one or more passages includes the steps of: fluidly connecting a temperature control fluid to at least one passage; and making the temperature control fluid pass through at least one passage. The temperature control fluid at least partially controls the temperature profile of the object to coat the target surface. The temperature profile of the object at least partially controls a coating microstructure.
