PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent entrainment of a recording medium to a fixing member without reducing image quality of a fixed image.SOLUTION: A fixing device 20 includes an endless fixing belt 21, a pressure roller 31 that comes into contact with an outer peripheral surface of the fixing belt 21, and a nip forming member 26 that is arranged on an inner peripheral side of the fixing belt 21 and comes into contact with the pressure roller 31 via the fixing belt 21 to form a nip; and drives to rotate the fixing belt 21 by the torque of the pressure roller 31. The nip forming member 26 has a protrusion shape part 27 on a nip part side on an exit side of a nip part N in a recording medium conveyance direction, and a contact state of the protrusion shape part 27 and an inner peripheral surface of the fixing belt 21 is made variable. |
