Systems and methods for call forwarding in a telecommunications network are described herein. A request to update a call forwarding number associated with a subscriber in the telecommunications network is provided. The request includes a phone number of an active mobile device, which is located within geographic proximity to a subscriber mobile device. The active mobile device is associated with a priority level.

1. A method for call forwarding in a telecommunications network, the method comprising:
receiving, by a service provider of the telecommunications network, a request to update a call forwarding number associated with a subscriber in the telecommunications network, wherein the request includes a phone number of an active mobile device, wherein the active mobile device is associated with a priority level and wherein the active mobile device is located within geographic proximity to a subscriber mobile device; replacing a previous call forwarding number with the phone number of the active mobile device; receiving an incoming call for the subscriber; and forwarding the incoming call to the active mobile device using the phone number.
