The present invention relates to an image-encoding method, to an image-decoding method, and to an apparatus using same. The image-encoding method according to the present invention comprises the following steps: determining the location of a corresponding sample in a reference layer; restoring a sample of a reference unit in the reference layer, specified by the corresponding sample, so as to generate a reference sample signal; and encoding a differential signal between the sample signal of the current unit of an enhancement layer and the reference sample signal.

1. A method of encoding an image, comprising:
determining a location of a corresponding sample in a reference layer; generating a reference sample signal by reconstructing a sample of a reference unit in a reference layer specified by the corresponding sample; and encoding a differential signal between a sample signal of a current unit of an enhancement layer and the reference sample signal, wherein the corresponding sample is a sample of the reference layer corresponding to a reference sample specifying the current unit.
