<p>Embodiments of the present invention provide a tracking area (TA) allocation method, device, and system, and relate to the field of mobile communications. The method is used in a macro base station in a heterogeneous network, and comprises: receiving a TAC allocated by an MME and corresponding to the macro base station; and sending the TAC to another base station deployed in a range of a macro cell covered by the macro base station, so that the another base station identifies itself according to the TAC, the another base station comprising a micro base station corresponding to a micro cell and/or a pico base station corresponding to a pico cell. A macro base station comprises: a first receiving module and a sending module. The present invention solves a problem that when a TA list comprises a TAC corresponding to a macro cell, a TAC corresponding to a micro cell, and a TAC corresponding to a pico cell, it is required to send paging signaling to macro cells, micro cells, and pico cells corresponding to all TACs in the TA list, resulting in waste of paging resources, and signaling exchange is performed frequently between a UE and an MME, resulting in waste of system resources, and achieves effects of saving paging resources and system resources.</p> |
