The present invention relates to a column type LED package with a conducting pad on a side. More particularly, the present invention relates to a column type LED package with a conducting pad on a side which does not require high temperature working environment and an expensive printed circuit board and may be rapidly and easily mounted or connected without generating a hazardous material by including the conducting pad on the outer side of a sealing housing to be mounted and connected to a conducting plate for LED package without a soldering process. To accomplish the above objective, according to an aspect, the present invention includes: the sealing housing including a light emitting member sealed therein; a conductive frame installed inside the sealing housing and connected to one side of the light emitting member to supply electricity to the light emitting member; and a plurality of conducting pads formed so that the conductive frame is electrically connected to an external conducting plate. One conducting pad is provided at a lateral side of the sealing housing to be exposed to the outside. At least one conducting pad is provided at an opposite lateral side of the sealing housing to be exposed to the outside. |
