PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient method for producing and collecting PHAs.SOLUTION: The method comprises a step of polymer production by a halophile, a step of solubilization-excretion of PHAs by the halophile, and a step of collecting 3HA excreted from the halophile. In the polymer production step, a large number of water-retaining bodies provided with a water-retaining layer in which a halophile grows are arranged in a treatment space, and on to the water-retaining bodies, a fluid containing an organic matter with which the halophile can grow is trickled down so that the halophile attached on the water-retaining bodies produces PHAs from the organic matter contained in the fluid. In the solubilization-excretion step, the halophile degrades the accumulated PHAs into water-soluble small molecules and excretes them from the halophile. |
