<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce wasteful power consumption of a backup power source in an electronic apparatus equipped with a backup power source such as a capacitor.SOLUTION: A plurality of capacitors 130 are provided as a backup power source when the power supply is turned off. A CPU 140 charges required minimum capacitors only among a plurality of capacitors 130 when the power source is turned on depending on the time of processes (storing a log and data, etc.) required when the power supply is turned off. Processes required when the power supply is turned off are chosen by a user using an operation panel 150 and stored in a nonvolatile memory 160. The nonvolatile memory 160 preliminarily stores information about which capacitor should be turned on for the time of the process required when the power supply is turned off.</p> |
