<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact type total tension measuring apparatus capable of highly accurately measuring the total tension of even a low-density belt-like body and a thin-wall-thickness belt-like body, by a simple configuration.SOLUTION: The total tension measuring apparatus is disposed with a non-contact type displacement gauge 3 for measuring, between support parts, vibration displacement of a belt-like body 1 supported by support rolls 2a and 2b at two sites in a traveling direction; measures the total tension of the belt-like body 1 by calculating it by an arithmetic device 4 from an eigen frequency of the belt-like body 1 obtained from the vibration displacement measured by the displacement gauge 3, a mass of the belt-like body 1 between the support parts, and an added mass of air coming into contact with the belt-like body 1 between the support parts; divides the surface of the belt-like body 1 between the support parts into a plurality of elements of a minute area; and calculates the added mass of the air from sound pressure applied to each element by the vibration displacement. This configuration can highly accurately measure the total tension of even a low-density belt-like body and a thin-wall-thickness belt-like body by taking account of the added mass of the peripheral air influencing the vibration.</p> |
