<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal vibration element and a crystal oscillator both of which can be more reduced in sizes.SOLUTION: A crystal oscillator 10 is configured to hermetically accommodate a crystal vibration element 1 having a rectangular crystal substrate 2 where one end portion 2a is supported by a pedestal 13 of a package 12 in a cantilever manner. The crystal vibration element 1 comprises a projection portion 8 in at least one portion of corner portions excluding a central portion in a width direction which is positioned at other end portion 2b opposite to the one end portion 2a supported in the cantilever manner. A pillow portion 18 having a protrusion shape is provided on a main body inner surface 12c of the package to receive the projection portion 8. The pedestal 13 and the pillow portion 18 hold the crystal vibration element 1 substantially in parallel to the main body inner surface 12c.</p> |
