<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent suppression of a drive frequency due to extension of a drive waveform length when performing draw-in in two steps, and prevent decrease of a printing speed.SOLUTION: A driving waveform Pv is a waveform generating driving pulses P1-P5 becoming ejection pulses ejecting drops respectively in time series in a printing cycle (a driving cycle) and includes a first draw-in waveform element Pa first selected when ejecting drops having a droplet size of 2 or more. The first draw-in waveform element Pa is a waveform component dilating an individual liquid chamber 106 by a dilatation state which is smaller than a dilatation state before a start of contraction in order to eject drops with the drive pulses P1-P5. The drive pulses P1, P2, which become first ejection pulses, dilate the individual liquid chamber 106 dilated with the first draw-in waveform element Pa.</p> |
