PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a server device and others which provide a game that can offer enhanced surprise and amusement to a user and increase interest and pleasure in an entire game.SOLUTION: A server device comprises: an information storage unit (ROM, etc.) which is connected with a terminal device via a network and stores related information of a game; and a control unit (arithmetic processing unit) which executes various arithmetic operations by accessing the stored information. In the game, when a player takes a hidden route R2 diverged from a normal route R1 and wins a battle against an enemy character on the hidden route R2, the player can acquire a gold box. Then, the server device determines the quality and/or quantity of the gold box to be provided for the player when the player accomplishes a quest by defeating the quest boss in an event executed after coming back to the normal route R1, on the basis of the gold box acquired in the hidden route R2.
