PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly accurate distance operation result without being affected by a distortion of the lens accompanied with a temperature change.SOLUTION: The stereo camera includes: a spectroscopy selection type cross-prism 205 for making the optical path length of each optical path in two images having a different parallax in spectral characteristics to be the same with each other and superposing each optical path on one optical path; an image pick-up device 202 for detecting luminance of at least two different spectral characteristics; an imaging lens 204 for forming the superposed images on the imaging means; and distance calculation means for calculating a distance up to a subject by the parallax between the two images. |
