PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breathing gas heating humidifier capable of enhancing the humidification efficiency of breathing gas.SOLUTION: A breathing gas humidifier 100 allows a breathing gas to circulate in a chamber 3 having water reserved therein for heating and humidifying the breathing gas. The chamber 3 includes: a heating plate heated by a heater; a sheet-like humidification member 11 partially to be soaked by water content in the chamber 3 to keep a humid condition; and a detection sensor 90 for detecting the presence or absence of the sheet-like humidification member 11. The sheet-like humidification member 11 detachably disposed on the chamber 3, comes in surface contact with the heating plate when it is attached to the chamber 3, and the breathing gas is circulated along the contacting surface. |
