PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a failure during image recording and reproduction of monitoring data, due to setting change of an imaging unit or a compression coding unit performed during image recording.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: an image recording source for outputting a stream containing image data subjected to compression coding; an image recording job for managing an image recording state; instruction means for changing a parameter relating to the image recording source, with a command transmitted from an external apparatus connected via a network; and control means which, in accordance with the image recording state managed by the image recording job, performs control to switch whether or not the instruction means can receive the command relating to the image recording source associated by the image recording job. |
