PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circularity measuring device and a circularity measuring method that allow a calculation of a circularity even when machining to an equal-diameter strain circle is performed, or a round rod shaped object to be measured is rotated, vibrated, moved, or the like, and allow an accurate measurement of the circularity.SOLUTION: The circularity measuring device includes: three optical dimension measuring means projecting parallel light and performing a measurement of respective different positions on the substantially same circumference of a rotating object to be measured at an identical time; virtual circle diameter calculation means for calculating a radius of a virtual circle which is a cross-section of the object to be measured from a measurement value of three optical dimension measuring means; circularity calculation means for calculating the radius of the virtual circle at a plurality of different positions on the substantially same circumference of the object to be measured and calculating a circularity of the object to be measured from a maximum value and a minimum value of the radius of a plurality of virtual circles. |
