PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breathing gas heating humidifier capable of performing continuous operation while maintaining stable humidification capability and washing the inside of a chamber easily.SOLUTION: A breathing gas heating humidifier 100 includes a sensor 20 for detecting the level of water reserved in a chamber 3 by allowing a light receiving section 27, disposed at the same height of a light emission section 26, to receive irradiation light L emitted from the light emission section 26 in the horizontal direction. The light emission section 26 and the light receiving section 27 are disposed outside the chamber 3, and the light receiving section 27 is disposed at a position where it is possible to receive irradiation light L1 that is light refracted from the irradiation light L through the water in the chamber 3, and advancing in the refracted direction. |
