PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium heating device capable of efficiently drying a recording medium by efficiently discharging steam.SOLUTION: A recording medium heating device includes: a pretreatment liquid coating device which can coat both surfaces or either one surface of a recording medium with a pretreatment liquid; a first heating roller which rotates in contact with one surface of the recording medium and is housed in a housing having a first heating means; a second heating roller which rotates in contact with the other surface of the recording medium and is housed in a housing having a second heating means; a first air current generation means of generating an air current on the other surface side of the recording medium in a direction substantially parallel with the axial direction of a rotary shaft of the first roller, and guiding the air current out of the housing; and a second air current generation means which generates an air current on the one surface side of the recording medium in a direction substantially parallel with the axial direction of a rotary shaft of the second roller and guides the air current out of the housing.
