PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable rate measurement and current consumption measurement of a watch having a temperature compensation function to be executed in a short period of time.SOLUTION: The electronic watch includes: a timing signal producing means for producing and outputting various timing signals; temperature measuring means for measuring an ambient temperature; temperature compensation value producing means for receiving temperature information from the temperature measuring means, producing a frequency correction value of the timing signal producing means, and correcting a frequency of the timing signal producing means according to the produced frequency correction value; and control means for controlling the operations of the temperature compensation value producing means and the temperature measuring means. The control means controls the temperature measuring means to stop or operate by a control signal from detection means. |
