PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive device enabling cost reduction by a simplified circuit configuration and reduction of the number of components.SOLUTION: The motor drive device includes: an inverter circuit 1 for supplying power to an electric motor M; a power supply relay 5 disposed on a power supply line 13 to supply power from a power supply 14 to the inverter circuit; phase relays 3U, 3V, 3W, composed of semiconductor switching elements, disposed on drive lines 11U, 11V, 11W between the inverter circuit and the electric motor; and a drive circuit 8 connected to the phase relays and the power supply relay. A drive circuit is commonly used by the phase relays and the power supply relay, and the power supply relay and the phase relays are collectively driven by a control signal CS output from the drive circuit. |
