This vehicle system includes: an in-vehicle apparatus (10), which is provided with a signal transmission unit (11) that transmits different pulse pattern signals from a plurality of transmission antennas (11a, 11b, 11c); and a portable device (20) that is provided with receiving units (21, 21a) that receive the signals. The in-vehicle apparatus or the portable device is provided with a portable device position specifying unit (13, 26) that specifies the position of the portable device on the basis of the signals. The portable device is provided with a frequency-voltage conversion unit (23b) that outputs voltages corresponding to the frequencies of respective signals. The portable device position specifying unit has: a first storage unit (23d), which has a voltage change pattern previously stored therein with respect to each of the positions of the vehicle, said voltage change pattern corresponding to each of the frequencies of the signals; and a first position estimating unit (23e), which estimates the position of the portable device by comparing a voltage change pattern of the frequency-voltage conversion unit and the voltage change pattern of the first storage unit with each other.
