Disclosed are smart glasses and a translation method thereof. The present invention comprises: an imaging unit for imaging at least one pointer object which is taken with a subject to be translated; an extracting unit for extracting words or sentences which are located within a threshold distance from the pointer objects on the captured image or located in a specified region by the one pointer object; and a display unit for displaying a translation result of the extracted words or sentences. According to the present invention, the present invention can provide the accurate and rapid translation result to a user even when the user reads long texts such as books or theses in a foreign language.
