PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system enabling expression of a foreign gene after the plant has grown up.SOLUTION: A construct for optical switch controlling expression of a target gene includes the following polynucleotides; (a) a promoter of photochemical system I reaction center protein gene (PpsaA), (b) a polynucleotide sequence functionally linked to the PpsaA, encoding a transcription product that inhibits expression of the target gene.
