PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an acquisition of two images whose polarization directions are orthogonal to each other even when a subject has a polarization characteristic, and to enable improvement in accuracy of a distance metering computation.SOLUTION: A parallax image photographing device comprises: polarization means for polarizing directions of polarizing light of two images from a subject so as to be orthogonal to each other; imaging means for receiving two images polarized by the polarization means and in different polarization directions; and an optical member that forms an image on the imaging means. The parallax image photographing device imaging two images having parallax from the subject, comprises polarization plane change means for changing a polarization plane of at least one of two images from the subject so that two images from the subject arrive at the polarization means. |
