PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a worker who is notified of work place information from heading for a wrong destination.SOLUTION: A work support system comprises a portable communication terminal and a server device which are interconnected via a network. The portable communication terminal comprises: a detection unit which detects a position of the portable communication terminal; and a transmission unit which transmits information indicating the position detected by the detection unit as position information to the server device. The server device comprises: a holding unit which holds work place information indicating a work place for work; a communication unit which transmits the work place information to the portable communication terminal; and a determination unit which determines whether a worker carrying the portable communication terminal is heading for the work place on the basis of the work place information and the position information. The communication unit transmits a result of the determination to the portable communication terminal.
