PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for transmitting uplink control information.SOLUTION: The method comprises: a step 401 of coding the uplink control information required to be sent and the data information corresponding to one or two transmission blocks respectively, obtaining a coded sequence according to a target length and forming a corresponding coding modulation sequence from the coded sequence according to a modulation mode; and a step 402 of interleaving the obtained coding modulation sequence and transmitting on a layer corresponding to a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). The method further comprises determining the number of coded symbols required by each layer when the uplink control information is transmitted on the PUSCH.
