PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrocardiographic apparatus for a vehicle that achieves reduction of discomfort due to a capacitive coupling type electrode provided on a seat.SOLUTION: An electrocardiographic apparatus for a vehicle comprises: a direct electrode that is provided at a steering wheel of the vehicle and detects a driver's body potential by contacting driver's skin; a capacitive coupling type electrode 6 that is provided in a seat of the vehicle and detects the driver's body potential while being insulated electrically; and an electrocardiograph 8 that measures driver's electrocardiographic signals on the basis of the potential at the direct electrode and the potential at the capacitive coupling type electrode 6. The seat is formed by sequentially layering rigid urethane 26, urethane 28 and surface skin 29. A dent 26a is formed in the rigid urethane 26, a hole 28a is formed in the urethan 28, and a recess 30 is formed by the dent 26a and the hole 28a. The electrocardiograph 8 is arranged at the dent 26a of the recess 30 and the capacitive coupling type electrode 6 is arranged in a space closer to the surface skin 29 than the electrocardiograph 8 in the recess 30. |
