PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform humidity control operation and temperature control operation while preventing the complication of a device structure.SOLUTION: A cooling and heating unit includes a cooling and heating module having a first heat strain member (21a) on the surface of which an adsorption layer (23) is provided for moisture in the air to be adsorbed thereto and desorbed therefrom, and which produces heat with tensile force imparted thereto and absorbs heat with the tensile force released therefrom, a second heat strain member (21b) on which the adsorption layer is not provided, and an actuator (22) for imparting the tensile force to the first and second heat strain members (21a, 21b), and a selection control part (35) for selecting the tensile force to be imparted only to or released from the first heat strain member (21a) out of the first and second heat strain members (21a, 21b) during humidity control operation, while selecting the tensile force to be imparted only to or released from the second heat strain member (21b) during temperature control operation. |
