[Classes 20 (i) and 20 (ii)] A portable hangar or workshop shelter of the kind comprising a metal framework, a textile covering and a lifting device, has the framework formed of a series of arched members 13 connected in spaced relationship by purlins 12, each arched member being formed of two side members of lattice tube construction with bent over upper portions 14 adapted to be connected at 15 to a bent lattice tubular roof member 20, with or without the use of intermediate frames 17 according to the width of building required. The framework members are preformed and each consists of side tubular members interconnected by transverse tubes 22, 23 welded to the side tubes. The frame members are provided with collars 24 to which the ends of the purlins 12 are loosely pinned to allow of correct positioning on uneven ground. The rear transverse frames may be of less width than the front frames. The runway 29 for the lifting device 30 is supported at its ends by brackets 27 and guide channels 28, and is further supported intermediately of its ends by two pairs of struts 33 having screwed extension feet 36 contacting with the ground. |
