A rolling element (5) has an outer surface (9) provided for rolling on a bearing ring (2, 3) of a rolling bearing (1), and a bore hole (10) provided for receiving a pin (11) of a cage (6) of the rolling bearing (1), wherein a sliding contact can be established between the inner surface (8) of the rolling element (5) resulting from the bore hole (10) and the pin (11). At least the inner surface (8) is induction hardened. |
