<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system and a power supply method capable of interrupting power supply upon occurrence of disaster, and restoring power supply quickly after disaster, in a power network by smart grid.SOLUTION: A power supply system 10 for supplying power to a user via a smart meter 12 provided in the facility of a user within a smart grid 1 includes seismic intensity detection means 12A for detecting the seismic intensity of earthquake upon occurrence thereof, opening and closing means 12B for interrupting power supply from a power transmission and distribution network to a facility, when the seismic intensity detected by the seismic intensity detection means 12A goes to a preset threshold or above, and information processing means 34 for acquiring the seismic intensity information of earthquake detected by the seismic intensity detection means 12A, and understanding the damage situation of a facility provided with the smart meter 12 due to earthquake based on the seismic intensity information thus acquired.</p> |
