The present invention provides a light emitting device and a method for manufacturing the same. The method comprises the steps of: forming a light emitting element and a terminal electrode on a device forming substrate; forming a first substrate having an opening by placing an adhesive layer on the light emitting element and the terminal electrode; forming a buried layer on the opening; forming a transfer substrate on the first substrate and the buried layer; peeling the device forming substrate; forming a second substrate under the light emitting element and the terminal electrode; removing the transfer substrate and the buried layer; forming an anisotropic conductive connection layer on the opening; forming an electrode on the anisotropic conductive connection layer; and connecting the terminal electrode and the electrode electrically through the anisotropic conductive connection layer.
