<p>The invention relates to a method of gifting a product/service, and comprises, at a first control logic, interpreting a trigger word/phrase from within the body of a text message sent by a user registered with the message gifting service, and following identification of the trigger word, communicates the message to a second control logic; at the second logic, an interactive text message dialogue is established with either the registered user (to resolve whether the user wishes to gift a product identified by the trigger to a third party address) or the third party recipient (to resolve a real-world delivery address); following the dialogue, shipping the product/service to the third party. The first logic may reside in the text message controller (e.g. SMSc), and the second logic may reside in a remote server coupled to the controller through the communications network. Processing of the text message may be a split function between an SMSc and a remote server.</p> |
