The head (2) has a base body (4) connected with a measuring device and carrying a probe body. An overload protection unit protects a head and/or the measuring device from being damaged in the event of overload acting on the probe body. The overload protection unit is designed as irreversible overload protection units (12, 14). The base body is provided with a rod-shaped fuse elements (16, 18), and comprises disconnection point at which the fuse element breaks in the event of overload. An independent claim is also included for a measuring device. |
