An objective of the present invention is to provide a vibrating element, which can exhibit excellent vibration characteristics while reducing an increase in a CI value, and a vibrator, an oscillator, an electronic apparatus, and a moving object which include the vibrating element. The vibrating element (2) includes a base portion (4); and a pair of vibrating arms (5, 6) which are provided integrally with the base portion (4), are aligned in an X-axis direction, and extend in a Y-axis direction from the base portion (4). Each of the vibrating arms (5, 6) includes arm portions (51, 61), and wide hammerheads (59, 69) which are located on the free end sides of the arm portions (51, 61) and have a longer length in the X-axis direction than the arm portions (51, 61). Assuming that the length of the vibrating arms (5, 6) in the Y-axis direction is L and the length of the hammerheads (59, 69) in the Y-axis direction is H, the relation of 1.2%<H/L<30.0% is satisfied. Assuming that the length of the arm portions in the X-axis direction is W1 and the length of the hammerheads (59, 69) in the X-axis direction is W2, the relation of 1.5<=W2/W1<=10.0 is satisfied. |
