摘要 An aspect of the present invention is to provide a continuously variable transmission that is capable of performing gearshift with convenience and stability by using an inner spherical surface-outer spherical surface friction driving method in which a cone bevel gear having an obtuse-angle conical power transmission plane is used as a power roller. The continuously variable transmission according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a fixed reference gear; a traction unit that includes a traction ring which is coaxially mounted on the fixed reference gear; a power transmission module that includes a plurality of power rollers which have uneven power transmission units engaged with the fixed reference gear and power transmission planes which are in friction contact with the traction ring with traction oil interposed and a rotating carrier in which a plurality of power rollers are radially arranged for support with the traction ring coupled, the rotating carrier rotating in axial coupling with an input module; an output housing module where the traction ring is disposed to be movable in an axial direction and rotate therewith in a circumferential direction for gearshift output in interworking with the traction ring; and a central axis module that is provided with a pressurizing unit that controls contact pressure so that torque is transmitted through rotating carrier penetration, coupling with one end of a central shaft to which the fixed reference gear is fastened and fixed and friction contact between the power roller and the traction ring or the torque transmission is blocked with the power roller separated from the traction ring and a gearshift unit that is coupled with the other end of the central shaft, controls an axial position between the power roller and the traction ring, and continuously change a speed ratio between the input module and the traction ring.
