The present invention relates to a method and a system for recovering an M2M service, more particularly, to a method and a system for recovering an M2M service which maintain communications between M2M terminal and M2M server even when a failure occurs in a network which connects between M2M gateways or between M2M gateway and server. The present invention includes a step (a) in which an M2M terminal determines connectivity to a preregistered first M2M server through a pre-connected first M2M gateway; a step (b) in which the M2M terminal requests a re-registration to the first M2M server through at least one M2M gateways except the first M2M gateway, if the determined result shows that the connection with the first M2M gateway is impossible; a step (c) in which the first M2M server selects one M2M gateway among the M2M gateways, and transmits response data for re-registration of the M2M terminal to the selected one M2M gateway; and a step (d) in which the selected one M2M gateway transmits the response data to the M2M terminal. According to the present invention, an M2M service can be stably recovered/maintained even if a failure occurs in a network which connects between M2M gateways or between M2M gateway and M2M terminal, or the M2M service is out of available range of M2M area network which connects between M2M terminal and M2M gateway due to a change of M2M terminal location. |
