The present invention relates to an omnidirectional optical system in which a reflecting interface heading to the image sensor of a catadioptric lens is formed flatly. The omnidirectional optical system comprises a catadioptric lens and a relay lens unit. The catadioptric lens comprises a first refracting interface on which incident light is refracted; a first reflecting interface formed on the inner surface facing the first refracting interface to refract the refracted incident light to the center of the first refracting interface; a second reflecting interface formed at the center of the inner surface of the first refracting interface to reflect the incident light reflected by the first reflecting interface to the rear relay lens unit; and a second refracting interface formed at the center of the first reflecting interface to transmit the incident light reflected by the second reflecting interface to the relay lens unit. The relay lens unit collects the incident light transmitted from the second refracting interface and forms the phase of the incident light. The second reflecting interface is formed flatly. The present invention can reduce manufacturing costs with a easy design and a simple structure by flatly forming the reflecting surface formed on the catadioptric lens and can be miniaturized to be installed in a narrow space by arranging relay lenses separated from the catadioptric lens to have a short back focal distance. |
