Method and arrangement for assessing and optimising energy consumption for heating and/or air conditioning

The method involves providing a set of sensors (2) for measuring temperature of air in a wall of an apartment housing (1). The sensors are integrated in a set of presence and/or movement detectors (3). Data is collected on the basis of duration of occupation of the wall of the housing. A level of average usage of heating and/or air conditioning is determined for the wall of the housing according to the degree of occupation of the part. A recommendation for modification of heating or air-conditioning practices is provided by taking comfort criteria of occupants into account. An independent claim is also included for an assembly for indicating, evaluating, and optimizing consumption of energy for heating and/or air-conditioning of an apartment housing or building.
