The present invention relates to a binder for a lithium secondary battery including: a copolymer which includes repeating structures represented by chemical formulas X, Y-1 and Z, respectively; and a lithium ion (Li+). The weight-average molecular weight of the copolymer ranges from 10,000 to 500,000 and molar ratios of the repeating structures represented by chemical formulas X, Y-1 and Z range from 5% to 35%, 5% to 35% and 30% to 90%, respectively. The present invention also relates to an electrode for a lithium secondary battery including the binder, a method for manufacturing the electrode and a lithium secondary battery including the electrode.
