Provided are a powder coating material and a method for preparing the same. The powder coating material comprises a main coating material including first modified polyethylene and an auxiliary coating material including second modified polyethylene. The method for preparing the powder coating material comprises: forming first modified polyethylene; forming second modified polyethylene; forming a main coating material including the first modified polyethylene; forming an auxiliary coating material including the second modified polyethylene; and mixing the main coating material and the auxiliary coating material. The main coating material and the auxiliary coating material have different softening points from each other.
