The present invention relates to an electronic device having a social interaction mechanism, and a method to operate the same. According to the various embodiments of the present invention, the electronic device includes: a computer control unit and a storage unit coupled to the computer control unit. The computer control unit detects an upcoming event to interact with a focal person for an upcoming event; extracts an invitee′s identification for the upcoming event; aggregates an invitee′s information associated with the invitee′s identification; and builds a social graph as an enhanced graph or with an extension graph based on the invitee′s information to add an invitee associated with the invitee′s identification. The storage unit is configured to store the social graph.
