A method for detecting the soft decision in a 2X2 MIMO system according to an embodiment of the present invention detects all candidate symbol vector gatherings having values of a real number unit and an imaginary number unit; calculates log likelihood ratio (LLR) for the all candidate symbol vector gatherings by a math formulation; easily realizes a demodulator for a high-speed transmitting mode in 1280 Mbps or greater in an MB-OFDM UWB system; and can demodulate the soft decision with the fewer number of calculating than a ML method.
