A method of converting the format of data in a transactional message includes receiving data representing a message in a transactional message format and converting the received data to a format directly useable by an application implementing business logic. The converting step is at least partially implemented on a customised circuit component such as a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) component or similar Programmable Logic Device (PLD). A customised circuit component, such as an FPGA or ASIC component, configured to convert data in a transactional message format to a format directly useable by an application implementing business logic, is also disclosed. The method and circuit component are particularly intended for use in converting the format of financial transactional messages. |
