A solar thermal heating device includes a fluid which may be air 1 which may be heated using solar heating or waste heat means. The device includes at least one tube or pipe 2 which may be coloured black. Heating the fluid causes an increase in the fluid pressure. This pressure then drives means to produce mechanical power which may be a turbine 3 which causes a pressure drop. Some of this mechanical power then drives a pump or generates electricity 4 with an electrical generator 5 with some power resupplying the solar heating means with more working fluid using means which may be a pump and/or a compressor 6 which creates higher pressure in the re-supply pipe 7. There may be two or more tubes and/or pipes and the fluid cycle may be open with an air intake Fig 2, 8 and an air outlet Fig 2, 9 or the fluid cycle may be closed. |
